Katharina Pechel


Katharina stands at the helm of the company after Richard’s untimely passing and Joe’s relocation to Canada. She has 30 years’ experience, producing award winning documentaries for the global television industry. She’s working with a team of experts in their own specific fields to achieve the highest standards. Among their productions are award winning films like “A Wild Dogs Tale for” National Geographic/ORF, “Killer Whales – The Greatest Hunt” for Discovery Channel/Animal Planet, “Slave Ship Mutiny” for PBS New York/Arte, various documentaries for NDR TV & ZDF Germany, ARTE TV, Terra Mater, ORF Universum and The FiFa City Profiles for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010. She began her career at German TV NDR but moved to South Africa in 1997. Here she has been running her own television production company since 2000. In 2010 she co-founded Table Mountain Films. Katharina has served as a final juror for WildScreen's Panda Awards and judged for the Jackson Hole Film Festival continuously since 2015.
